Pre-employment screening

Knowing your staff is as important as knowing your customers. Trust is essential but that must be trust based upon sensibly diligent research. Stork's screening services offer a complete range of vetting processes which allow you to make valid judgements and, for annual contract customers, include a free risk assessment which helps define the correct levels of screening appropriate for all positions within your organisation.

This risk assessment process is also available to non-contract customers. We use a unique process which identifies the true threats presented by position not by the individual occupying that post. This ensures that you are able to select the relevant screening modules.

Why should I screen my staff?

Before making any investment it is important first to know why and then to choose the product which best meets the criteria established during that analysis. All too often employers invest in screening exercises that are inadequate to meet their real needs or are far more intensive than the risks demand.

Staff screening is not about testing the background of highly paid or high profile staff. It is about understanding the risks associated with the positions in your company and then deploying appropriate screening techniques to counter those risks.

What do I get from Stork's screening services?

As part of our service we include a needs assessment review as a no cost option to the customer in which we examine representative positions within the company and profile the necessary screening processes required.

Stork provides a range of staff screening products which are designed to maximise the benefits accruing to an employer as part of both an effective human resources selection procedure and a pro-active fraud control programme. We work with your Human Resources personnel to integrate screening procedures with normal recruitment processes to ensure seamless and consistent application of relevant controls.

What we don't do in any of our services is merely make routine database checks and tell you what they say!

Will applicants object?

Experience shows that staff expect some level of intrusion into their background, understand as they do the risks associated with crime and, in some cases, terrorism or employment specific issues such as money laundering controls.

Most applicants have nothing to fear from the most intrusive of vetting processes and recognise that it reinforces the importance the employer attaches both to the position and to their company's security.

What are the options?
